Evaluation 1- In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products ?

In comparison toour movie.. this short trailer based on Nigerian Black Magic (JuJu ) has certain aspects which are similar to our low budget student film. We break down the barriers and also in a certain light make it more stereotypical.

At the start of a professional or high budget film the viewer would expect to see the production company logo such as Paramount or Sony. In our group trailer the viewer sees Gaza productions which is our created production logo. In my opinion this logo shows originality and creativity on a good level. By seeing a production logo at the start of thr trailer this shows that despite the low budget it still imitates professional qualities.

In mainstream productions, viewers expect to see things like words in a professional fonts and creative ways the words are shown to the viewer so they are drawn in before the movie even starts. As you can see in the video that ive embedded that the title sequence is of a professional standard, however in our low budget title sequnce, one of the downfalls is that in our trailer the title sequence does not look professional.

In the mainstream film that is featured in this blog, shows that it has professional editing because viewers expect to see nice tight shots which draw them in and gain their attention. However in our film, there is not much of avariety of shots which is a disadvantage.
